Clément Lenglet completed his first Benfica training session at Benfica Campus in Seixal under Marco Silva, one day after being confirmed as a signing.
According to Glorioso 1904, club footage confirmed the France international will wear the number two shirt for 2026/27.
On arrival, he was accompanied by Mário Branco, the club’s director-general for football, toured the facilities, met Silva’s staff and greeted his new team-mates. Approached by Jaden Umeh, he smiled and said he was happy.
Lenglet underwent routine physical testing and gym work before stepping onto the pitch to join the group. He has begun adjusting to Silva’s ideas, giving the coach another experienced option at centre-back.
His first day also featured the traditional welcome tunnel for new players. With the introductions complete, Lenglet starts a new chapter as he looks to establish himself in Benfica’s defence.
