Foot Mercato are reporting that RC Lens and Burnley have reached an agreement over the transfer of winger Anass Zaroury (23).
Zaroury joined Burnley from Charleroi back in 2022 for €4m. The Moroccan international was part of the squad that took Vincent Kompany’s side back to the Premier League. He made 34 EFL Championship appearances that year, netting six goals and reigtering six assists.
Whilst Zaroury began the Premier League campaign with the Clarets, he spent the second half of the season back on loan in the Championship with Hull City. He is now set for a permanent move away from Turf Moor, Foot Mercato understands. The Moroccan winger has been the subject of talks between Burnley and Lens, and an agreement on a €9m deal, including bonuses, has been reached. Burnley will have also inserted a 20% sell-on clause into the transfer.
Zaroury is set to sign a four year deal with Les Sang et Or and he is already in France in order to undergo his medical.
