Sports Zone are reporting that RC Lens midfielder Andy Diouf (20) has changed agent and is now represented by Pini Zahavi, amidst interest from the other side of the English Channel.
Diouf joined Lens for a €14m fee from Basel after an impressive season for the Swiss side. However, replacing Seko Fofana was no easy task and the pressure to do so, coupled with the significant price tag, meant that Diouf struggled early on. As a result, Nampalys Mendy, who was a free agent following the expiry of his contract at Leicester City, was brought in. He featured particularly prominently in the UEFA Champions League group stages, with Diouf playing a peripheral role.
However, Diouf has become one of the symbols of Lens’ revival in recent months. Not only has the France youth international, who was nominated for the Golden Boy award last year, retaken his place in the starting XI, he is once again dictating matches, as he did in Switzerland.
Sport Zone report that Diouf is now attracting interest from the English market, and amidst this interest, the French midfielder has changed agents. Diouf is open to a potential departure, even if he is currently happy with Les Sang et Or.
