It will be a summer of rebuilding at RC Lens. The club will lose manager Will Still, who announced his impending departure following Les Sang et Or’s win over AS Monaco on the final day of the season.
Whilst finding a new manager will be a priority, there is also a squad to rebuild. Kevin Danso, Abdukodir Khusanov, Elye Wahi, Brice Samba, and Przmyslaw Frankowski have all left the club over the past 12 months. The exodus is expected to continue with the departure of Facundo Medina this summer.
Reinforcements are needed in defence, but also in attack. Habib Diallo (29), currently on loan at Damac FC from Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia, is a target, according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter. The Senegal international has seven goals in 28 appearances in all competitions this season.
Diallo, who played for RC Strasbourg Alsace prior to his move to the Gulf State, could be set for a return to France, amid Lens’ interest.
