Lens winger Przemyslaw Frankowski (27) suffered a fractured nose during the club’s 1-0 win over Marseille on Saturday, as revealed by manager Franck Haise post-match.
Frankowski suffered the injury at the end of the first half in a contest for the ball with Pape Gueye. Despite Gueye drawing blood, the Polish international managed to complete the game. However, Haise revealed the extent of Frankowski’s injury post-match.
It is unclear whether the fracture will see him miss any games. Should he feature in next Friday’s match against Toulouse, he will almost certainly do so in a mask.
Frankowski has played in every Ligue 1 match this season for Le Sang et Or. He is part of a team that is defying all expectations this season. Lens are currently in second, five points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain. Lorient have the opportunity to retake second place when they face ESTAC Troyes on Sunday.
