Lens lifted the Coupe de France with a 3-1 win over Nice on Friday, and France 2 topped the ratings. It was a historic first for Racing Club de Lens.
According to L'Équipe, the broadcast on the public channel attracted 4.06 million viewers, an audience share of 24.7%, with a peak of 5.3 million at the final whistle.
The final was the most watched programme of the night, ahead of France 3's repeat of Le Crime de la Tour Eiffel with 3.05 million and an 18% share, and TF1's Mask Singer on 2.12 million and 12.4%.
The numbers were well up on last year's final. PSG beat Reims 3-0, drawing 2.96 million on France 2 with a 17.8% share.
