Lens head coach Pierre Sage said on Wednesday that Ruben Aguilar has suffered a calf injury and will be out for two to three weeks, ruling him out of Friday’s trip to Strasbourg at 20:45.

The 32-year-old France international, capped once, was introduced in the 75th minute against Monaco on Saturday, but departed 12 minutes later with the problem.

He will also miss the home game against Metz on 8 March, and could miss the trip to Lorient on 15 March.

It is a blow for Lens, as Aguilar had missed only two league matches this season, one due to a muscle injury and one through suspension.

There is better news elsewhere, with Mamadou Sangaré and Wesley Saïd available again after they sat out the Monaco match, and Adrien Thomasson fit following a hand issue.
