Léo Jance relishes national team chance: "It will help me grow"

Left-back Léo Jance was one of the players chosen by coach Carlo Ancelotti to complete the training sessions of the Brazilian National Team as preparation for the South American Qualifiers matches. The player spoke about the privilege of having this opportunity and highlighted the dream he is living as an athlete.

“It was a unique experience to be able to train with the National Team. Since I was a child, I always dreamed of being part of this environment. I have been in the youth teams, but training with the main team is different. I was very happy with this opportunity. It was a privilege to participate in these activities alongside great players who are a reference for me.” – commented the defender.

Like Jance, midfielder Gustavo Dohmann was another player from Fluminense's youth categories called by the Italian coach to join Brazil's technical work. The left-back stated that training with the main National Team is serving as a great learning experience and emphasized that it will serve as motivation to continue dedicating himself to the Tricolor.

“It was a day of great learning, mainly. I was able to see up close the level of demand and the quality of everyone in the National Team, which motivates me even more to continue working hard at Fluminense. Certainly, this opportunity will help me evolve as a player and as a person.” – informed Leo.

Right-back Huguinho and defender Marquinhos, from Botafogo, and goalkeeper Leo Nannetti, from Flamengo, were also other names from the youth categories of Brazilian football invited by Ancelotti to train with the National Team. The European coach chose the five young players to fill the gap of the athletes called up for the main team who played in the Brazilian Championship over the weekend.

The defender made his debut for the Warriors' professional team in April 2025, in Flu's 5-0 victory over San José in the group stage of the Copa Sudamericana.
