Flamengo face Independiente del Valle (EQU) in the Libertadores quarter-final return on Thursday 17th at 21:30 Brasília time. According to Coluna Do Fla, coach Leonardo Jardim has an in-house boost with Léo Pereira available.
The defender sat out the meeting with Corinthians on Sunday 13th because of accumulated fatigue from the season. He went to the Maracanã but was not available to Jardim.
With no injury, Pereira has trained as normal for the Del Valle clash and is likely to start alongside Léo Ortiz at centre-back.
Flamengo are close to full strength for the tie. The only absentee is midfielder Evertton Araújo, who is recovering from a serious muscle problem with no return date.
On the disciplinary front, Luiz Araújo is the only player one booking from suspension. If he is cautioned on Thursday, he would miss the semi-final should Flamengo advance.
Flamengo carry a strong advantage after a 2-0 first-leg win in Quito, with goals from Bruno Henrique and Pereira. They can lose by up to one goal and still go through, with the winners to face Estudiantes (ARG) in the next round.
