Leonardo Jardim’s Flamengo match Filipe Luís mark after 3-0 win over Botafogo

Flamengo posted a fourth successive clean sheet of 2026, equalling a run last achieved almost a year ago under Filipe Luís.

With Filipe Luís on the touchline, Flamengo beat Palmeiras, Deportivo Táchira of Venezuela, Fortaleza and Espérance of Tunisia between 25 May and 16 June, conceding none.

The current sequence began with an 8-0 win over Madureira under Filipe Luís, then Leonardo Jardim took charge for meetings with Fluminense, Cruzeiro and Botafogo.

Against Fluminense, it finished 0-0 and Flamengo won the Carioca title on penalties, before victories over Cruzeiro 2-0 and Botafogo 3-0.

Jardim’s side now face Remo at the Maracanã on Thursday 19, kick-off 20:00 Brasília time, with coverage on Premiere pay-per-view.
