Ronaldinho joined PSG in 2001 after FIFA set a 4.8 M€ fee amid a disputed pre-contract, dazzled but was often benched by Luis Fernandez, then left Flamengo in May 2012 citing repeated late wages after 72 games and 28 goals.

Vampeta’s 2001 PSG stop was brief, eight games and a goal against Auxerre, then Flamengo and a swift return to Corinthians before Brazil’s 2002 World Cup win. Reinaldo arrived in 2003 via a deal linked to Vampeta, won the 2004 Coupe de France and left in 2005.

Paulo César played for Flamengo in 1996, then made 67 PSG appearances from 2002 to 2007, winning the 2006 Coupe de France, and since 2020 has moved into coaching, taking charge of PSG’s women this summer. José Aloisio logged 79 PSG games and 18 goals in 2001-03 after Flamengo, then joined Rubin Kazan.

David Luiz, the only QSI-era crossover, partnered Thiago Silva from 2014 to 2016, helped deliver two domestic quadruples and headed a key equaliser at Chelsea on 11 March 2015 in a 2-2 extra-time draw, later returning for 30 M€, then winning the 2022 Copa Libertadores before leaving in 2024.
