Giovanni Leoni’s former club, Parma, reacted to the unfortunate injury of the Liverpool defender: ‘Sending you our support!’
Serie A side Parma reacted to Leoni’s injury on social media, sending a message to their former centre-back who suffered a cruciate ligament injury on his Liverpool debut on Tuesday night.

“We are deeply sorry to hear about your injury. The whole club and Gialloblu family wish you a quick and easy recovery.”
Leoni only made 17 Serie A appearances with Parma in 2024-25 before joining Liverpool in a €35m deal in the summer transfer window.
It is believed that Leoni will miss the entire 2025-26 campaign due to his knee injury.
The Italian defender said in an Instagram post that he would “give everything” to return to action as soon as possible.

Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso called up Leoni for international games against Estonia and Israel earlier this month, but eventually sent him to the stands in both matches.
Leoni has yet to make his senior Italy debut.
Liverpool stars such as Virgil van Dijk, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak have taken to social media to wish the promising Italian defender a quick recovery.
