The Levante-Athletic match remains scheduled for 21.30 at the Ciutat de Valencia, but an orange alert for rain and storms in the province means its staging could be affected.
According to El Correo, the province is under an orange warning for rain and storms today, with forecasts of up to 40 litres per square metre in one hour and more than 80 over several hours, and the heaviest rainfall expected roughly between 16.00 and midnight.
LaLiga, which has the final say, is not currently considering a postponement, but it is in contact with public authorities and is monitoring the situation.
Regulations do not require an automatic suspension under an orange warning. A red alert changes the picture. In December, Levante-Villarreal was postponed after Aemet issued a red warning for heavy rain, and the RFEF later cited force majeure.
In Valencia, measures are already in place, with the City Council suspending outdoor sports and closing the Jardín del Turia, parks, gardens, libraries located in these spaces and cemeteries from 14.00. Other municipalities have started similar actions.
