Levante fans descend on Manises after historic Celta victory | OneFootball

Levante were greeted by a fervent late-night reception at Manises after their historic win at Celta in Balaídos. According to Superdeporte, supporters gathered at the airport to honour the team.

With the match played midweek, travelling to Vigo was difficult, though some Levante fans still made themselves heard. Even so, the working day did not stop a mass turnout at Manises.

Hundreds arrived at the terminal around 23:30 to celebrate the three points. Once the squad had landed, after 00:35, and made their way outside, fans broke into song and roared their backing.

Euphoria grew as survival felt closer than ever, and many were convinced another big step would come on Sunday against Mallorca at Orriols.

In his press conference, Luís Castro praised the support, saying the team feel it even when behind, including at 0-2, and that they could not ask for more. The win kept his side’s good run going and lifted them out of the relegation zone with two matches remaining.
