Leverkusen captain Robert Andrich ‘left out’ of Germany World Cup squad

RTL reports that Bayer Leverkusen captain Robert Andrich will not be included in Germany’s squad for this summer’s World Cup.

The 31-year-old defensive midfielder has reportedly been informed by coach Julian Nagelsmann in a phone call.

Andrich was a key figure at Euro 2024, starting every match under Nagelsmann.

He has not been called up since October, when he played only three minutes in a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland.

Nagelsmann will announce his full Germany squad for the tournament on Thursday.
