Simon Rolfes says Bayer Leverkusen have no agreements in place over Exequiel Palacios or Ernest Poku despite ongoing talks.

According to BuLi News, Ipswich Town are pursuing Palacios, and Fiorentina are considered close to signing Poku. The Leverkusen managing director for sport spoke after Saturday’s 4-0 DFB-Pokal win over Wehen Wiesbaden.

He noted that both cases share the same status, there is still no agreement, talks have happened in each, and neither deal is certain.

Regarding Palacios, Rolfes confirmed Ipswich have improved their offer, but it remains below what Leverkusen want. He said the bid had moved a little, though not to the club’s liking.

Ipswich initially offered about €20 million, then raised that to roughly €30 million including bonuses. Leverkusen are reportedly seeking around €35-40 million for Palacios.
