Colwill on “amazing” George

Maresca continued with Pedro Neto down the middle, whilst Jadon Sancho came in for Reece James, with Nkunku and Cole Palmer making up the attack.

That meant no start for the promising George, who Romeo Lavia highlighted as player for the fans to look out for.

Unlike against Aston Villa, George did make it off the bench and he looked sharp and a constant threat for the Blues.

The winger was promoted to the first team squad earlier this season and Colwill admitted after the game he was really proud the youngster got an assist.

“He is very very sharp,” he told TNT Sports.

“He is an amazing player who has a future ahead of him. I am really proud he got an assist.”
