FC Barcelona are already working intensively on the successor to Robert Lewandowski – and the Catalans are apparently also focusing on FC Bayern’s Harry Kane

As the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports, the English international striker is on the Spanish champions‘ wish list along with Julián Álvarez from Atlético Madrid and João Pedro from Chelsea FC

According to the report, Barcelona are working intensively internally on possible solutions for the time after Lewandowski. The Pole had recently officially confirmed his departure at the end of the season and bid an emotional farewell to the club and fans. After four years at Barcelona, this marks the end of an era

The Catalans are now looking for a new top striker – and Harry Kane is apparently one of the most attractive solutions

Bayern are already working on an extension

However, a transfer is likely to be anything but easy. FC Bayern are still planning to keep Kane and are currently working on a contract extension beyond 2027

President Herbert Hainer recently made it clear that the Munich club is optimistic: „I also believe that Harry would like to extend his contract with us,“ Hainer told Sport BILD

Bayern particularly appreciate the Englishman’s professionalism: „It was important for him to concentrate on the season and his goals with FC Bayern first,“ Hainer emphasized

Kane himself has also recently reiterated how comfortable he feels at the record champions. „Everyone knows how much I like it here. The situation is relaxed,“ said the 32-year-old

After his treble in the DFB Cup final against Stuttgart and a total of 61 goals in 51 competitive matches, there seems to be little indication of a departure at the moment

Nevertheless, Barcelona appear to be prepared to dig deep into their pockets, with reports suggesting that around 100 million euros have been earmarked for a new top striker

However, it remains to be seen whether the Catalans will actually make a serious approach for Kane

At FC Bayern, the Englishman is still regarded as the indispensable heart of the offense.
