AJ Auxerre and Olympique de Marseille have been cleared to launch women’s training centres from the 2026-27 season after approval from the LFFP. According to L'Équipe, the decision allows both clubs to proceed with their academy projects.

The governing body’s board has validated project agreements covering the opening of the two centres.

The LFFP said the move represents a significant step in structuring women’s football in France, reflecting the commitment of professional clubs and their women’s sections to a durable, demanding project aligned with elite standards.

National technical director Hubert Fournier said that three years after the scheme began, there will be 10 centres meeting a high level of structuring.

He added that, alongside the mixed Pôles espoirs for pre-formation, the player development pathway is clearly strengthened.
