Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson are among the Chelsea players who are training separately from the first-team squad, per the Telegraph

However, they are still training at the same time as manager Xabi Alonso’s main group and on the same pitches.

The second group are also continuing to use the first-team facilities instead of being sent to the club’s academy building to change, train and eat.

Chelsea have been focused on sales after making several signings this summer, including Morgan Rogers, Pep Chavarria, Marco Palestra, Maxence Lacroix, Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck.

They are open to offers for Delap and Jackson. Tosin Adarabioyo and Axel Disasi may also leave this summer.

Delap has struggled to meet expectations since his £30 million transfer from Ipswich Town in 2025.

The 23-year-old scored only two goals in 41 appearances across all competitions last season.

Delap is still keen to stay at Stamford Bridge and prove himself, but his departure is increasingly likely.

Jackson also wants to continue his career in London after enjoying working under Alonso during the Asian tour.

However, Chelsea have five strikers on their books. They are demanding a £65m fee to sanction Jackson’s sale.

Aston Villa have expressed an interest, but they are unlikely to meet such a high valuation.
