Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has claimed that Chelsea have the best player in the world in his position right now.

I’m not sure there will be too many who would argue with that statement either, although there will certainly be some who would.

EXCL: Latest on Chelsea signing Jeremy Jacquet with deal still ON!!

Chelsea fans wont, for sure, because they love themselves a bit of Moises Caicedo!

Joe Cole believes that the £100m odd that Chelsea paid to sign him is already looking like a snip right now, especially after the midfielder came up and scored an important goal for The Blues last night.

Chelsea were struggling to break down a stubborn low block defence at Stamford Bridge in their latest Champions League match against Pafos last night. It wasn’t an enjoyable watch, and some Chelsea fans even booed their team off at half time. It wasn’t pretty at all but in the end, they got the job done despite a laboured and slow performance.

It’s never easy to break down a low block, and Liam Rosenior needed a hero, and that man was Caicedo.

After the game, the head coach went on to label Caicedo the best in the world in his position, in quotes picked up on X.

He said:

“I said before for me, he’s the best defensive midfield player in the world right now. So he’s a joy to work with, not just his in possession, his whole possession, the way he blocks passing lines, and he makes players around him better.

“I don’t know how many headers he scored in his career, but it was a fantastic header and a really, really important moment in the game with a player like him.”
