Liam Rosenior has revealed he’s not spoken to Mykhailo Mudryk yet, but it’s something he “definitely” wants to do.
Mudryk hasn’t played for Chelsea since November 2024 when he scored against German side Heidenheim in the Conference League.
The 25-year-old is currently provisionally suspended from football after failing a doping test whilst on international duty.
Mudryk was charged by the FA in June 2025 after a violation of the anti doping rules, but as of yet there’s been no official outcome to his case.
Updates on the Ukrainian have been few and far between, and it’s believed Mudryk has been given a training programme by Chelsea in an attempt to keep fit.
Mudryk was last seen taken part in filming for a show about his former club Shakhtar Donetsk and the war in Ukraine.

What the future holds for the winger is unclear, and there were inaccurate reports suggesting Mudryk had returned to training.
He’s currently banned from the training ground at Cobham, and Rosenior was asked on Friday whether he’d made contact with Mudryk.
“Not yet,” he said as quoted by The Standard.
“It’s definitely something that I want to do, but there are many things I want to do and haven’t been able to do.
“But, no, he’s a magnificent player. He’s had a really difficult time and when the moment is right for me and him and the club, I’ll definitely have a conversation with him.”
Rosenior was then pressed for when the right time might be, and stated he wants it to be when he can have a positive impact on his career.

“And when it’s right that he’s in a place where I can have an impact, in a positive way, on his career.”
