The French defender, who the club signed in an initial loan which will be made permanent this summer from Nice, is currently out injured for a number of weeks with a calf issue.

It was no secret that Todibo had a falling out with former boss Julen Lopetegui, who appeared to have many fractured relationships during his dreadful 8 month spell at the club.

The club finally pulled the trigger on the former Wolves boss earlier this month, with Potter stepping in to take the reigns, which has undoubtedly lifted all connected with the club – including the players.

Lopetegui was understood to be difficult to work with, as his communication skills were called into question, while also a clear lack of personal and squad discipline.

So it comes as no surprise that many, including Todibo, are delighted that the club made the required change, with the defender in particular very excited to be working under Potter now in east London.

Todibo is eager to return and impress, as he seeks to repay the trust shown in him by the club as he looks to draw a line under a difficult start to life in England.

We do however understand that he is very happy and settled in London, has no desire to leave and is eager to show what he can do once he is available for selection for the new man at the helm.
