Liga F match-day 17 round-up: Deportivo end wait for away win as Sevilla hit four | OneFootball

Deportivo La Coruña claimed their first away league win of the season on match-day 17 of the Liga F season.

Elsewhere, third-placed Real Sociedad picked up a comfortable victory on a weekend that had a reduced schedule due to the Supercopa de España, which saw Barcelona triumph in Castellon.

Pizarro stars in Deportivo win

Deportivo ended their three-game winless league run with a dominant display against basement side DUX Logroño at the weekend. Esperanza Pizarro opened her Dépor account with a brace in the 4-0 victory, including an emphatic 17th-minute opener. Paula Gutiérrez tapped in a second to put her side in a strong position at the break. 

Pizarro added to Deportivo’s advantage just before the hour mark, neatly working the space to produce an unstoppable effort from the edge of the box. The former Eibar forward then provided the assist for Lucía Rivas to complete the rout.

Sevilla prove four-midable on Liga F Match-day 17

Sevilla ended a run of three consecutive defeats in all competitions with a 4-2 success against relegation-threatened Levante. Esther Martín-Pozuelo opened the scoring with a stunning long-range free-kick. The 27-year-old curled her left foot shot over the wall and in off the near post, representing the perfect way for her to open her Sevilla account. Isabel Álvarez added a second from the penalty spot, before Levante’s Raiderlin Carrasco fired into the top corner to reduce the deficit.

However, Rosa Márquez quickly restored Sevilla’s two-goal cushion in first-half stoppage time. The three points were effectively sealed when Millaray Cortés added a fourth within four minutes of the restart. Levante were at least able to grab a second goal through Ana Franco, although it counted for very little as they fell to their sixth defeat in the past seven league games.

Real Sociedad make light work of Eibar

Real Sociedad extended their advantage over fourth-placed Costa Adeje Tenerife to eight points with a routine win against Eibar. Intza Eguiguren scored the only goal of the first half, latching onto a long ball over the top before prodding it past the hesitant goalkeeper, representing her third goal in the last four matches. A couple of second-half own goals allowed Real Sociedad to seal a comfortable victory, extending their unbeaten run to five competitive matches. 

Granada, Badalona emerge victorious

Granada continued their impressive start to 2026 with a third consecutive victory without conceding. Sonya Keefe opened the scoring on the hour mark, steering a downward header out of Soledad Belotto’s reach. Andrea Gómez sealed the win with a composed penalty after Belén Martínez was penalised for handball infringement. 

Meanwhile, Badalona’s Itziar Pinillos scored the decisive goal in Sunday’s away meeting against her former side, Madrid CFF. The 25-year-old found himself in the closing stages of the first period, making an intelligent run to guide the ball in from Sonia Majarín’s inch-perfect cross. As a result of the win, Badalona moved up to eighth place and to within three points of Madrid CFF in seventh spot. 

Elsewhere, Costa Adeje Tenerife had to settle for a share of the spoils in their goalless away draw with Espanyol. The result at least extended Tenerife’s unbeaten streak to five competitive matches (W2, D3). As for Espanyol, they are still searching for their first home league win since October.
