Real Madrid slipped up in their stalemate with Costa Adeje Tenerife at the weekend. Leaders Barcelona had no such problems, as they recorded a derby win to maintain their two-point advantage over Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad.

Meanwhile, Alhama and Eibar clinched their maiden wins of the Liga F season. Here’s how the action unfolded in the latest round of Liga F results.

Tenerife extend clean sheet streak

Costa Adeje Tenerife produced another remarkable defensive display to hold Real Madrid to a draw on matchday five.

Las Blancas were given a golden opportunity to break the deadlock on the hour mark, when Fatou Dembele tripped Naomie Feller in the box. However, Noelia Ramos spared her teammate’s blushes, diving low to her right to deny Sara Däbritz from the penalty spot.

The hosts held out for the remainder of the contest to the delight of those in attendance at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez. Impressively, Tenerife are yet to concede this season, having recorded five consecutive clean sheets. As a result, they are sitting in fourth spot and a point better off than fifth-placed Real Madrid.

Edna Imade opens Real Sociedad account

In contrast to Tenerife, Badalona’s defence was finally breached in their meeting with Real Sociedad. Their run of four consecutive shutouts was ended by a 2-0 home defeat.

After playing out a goalless first half, Real Sociedad opened the scoring in the opening stages of the second period. A blocked shot sat up nicely for Edna Imade to fire home her first goal in a Real Sociedad shirt. Lucía Pardo added a second in stoppage time, setting the ball out of her feet before drilling it past Antonia Canales.

Alhama, Eibar claim three precious points

Alhama recorded their first win of the season in their home clash with fellow promoted side DUX Logroño. Mía Gayle Asenjo opened the scoring in the 18th minute, heading in from a deep free-kick to put Logroño ahead. However, the complexion of the contest changed when Nancy Amoh was sent off for two bookable offences just before the break. The visitors made immediate use of the numerical advantage, with Belén Martínez and Yiyi scoring quickfire goals to send their side into the break with a narrow lead.

To Logroño’s credit, they showed great fight to restore parity through London City Lionesses’ loanee Paula Partido. Unfortunately for the depleted hosts, they were unable to stop Alhama from taking the game away from them with two goals in seven minutes. Yiyi thumped home a half-volley to register her second goal of the game, before Raquel Pinel scrambled the ball in to seal all three points.

Like Alhama, Eibar celebrated their maiden win of the 2025/26 campaign at the weekend. Opah Clement broke the deadlock in the 39th minute of Sunday’s clash with Levante, steering a header in off the post after meeting Ane Etxezarreta’s looping ball. Clement’s first Eibar goal proved enough to secure the victory and condemn Levante to a third consecutive defeat.

Barcelona stay perfect, Atlético remain unbeaten

Barcelona got the better of local rivals Espanyol in Saturday’s home clash.

Alexia Putellas sent the hosts into the break with a slender advantage. Putellas calmly slotted in from Caroline Graham Hansen’s cut-back, after the Norwegian latched onto Aitana Bonmatí’s clipped through ball. Putellas turned to provider in the second period, laying the ball off for Ewa Pajor to take a touch and slot past Romane Salvador. The result ensured Barcelona remain the only team in Liga F with a 100 percent record.

Elsewhere, Atlético Madrid enjoyed a successful trip to Andalusia at the weekend. Atleti played out a goalless first period with Granada, before Fiamma netted a quickfire brace in the early stages of the second half. Vilde Bøe Risa and Synne Jensen went on to add to Atlético’s tally to maintain their unbeaten record in the 2025/26 campaign.

A dramatic win and a score draw

Madrid CFF took maximum points from their away clash with Deportivo La Coruña. Henar Muiña gave away a penalty in first half stoppage time, allowing Mônica to slot home her second Liga F goal of the campaign. Dépor pulled themselves level midway through the second period. Ainhoa Marín’s defence-splitting through ball created the chance for Paula Monteagudo to open her account for the season. Monteagudo’s effort looked set to seal a draw until Núria Mendoza snatched all three points with an 89th minute winner.

In Lezama, Athletic Club played out a 1-1 draw against Sevilla. Nerea Nevado scored from the penalty spot to give Athletic the lead just before the half hour mark. However, the hosts were unable to hold out until the break, as Isabel Álvarez drove home a free-kick to restore parity in first half stoppage time. Sevilla’s Alice Marques was sent off in the second period, but her dismissal did not prove costly, as the visitors stood firm to pick up a useful point.

Best goal of Liga F matchday five

Yiyi’s second goal gets our vote for the standout goal of matchday five. From just inside the box, the 27-year-old met a bouncing ball and unleashed a thunderous strike into the top corner. The unstoppable effort was made better by the fact that it helped Alhama celebrate their first win of the season.
