Edna Imade bid farewell to Real Sociedad with a hat-trick in Saturday’s thrilling 5-5 draw against Atlético Madrid.

Meanwhile, Barcelona kicked off 2026 with a mammoth 12-1 victory over Madrid CFF. Here’s how the latest round of results in Spain’s top flight unfolded.

Edna Imade bows out in style

Fans at Atlético Madrid’s Centro Deportivo Wanda Alcalá de Henares were treated to an exhilarating encounter on match-day 15 of the Liga F season. Real Sociedad Intza Eguiguren opened the scoring in the sixth minute, before ex-Real Sociedad attacker Synne Jensen and Brazilian winger Luany grabbed a goal apiece to turn the half in the home side’s favour.

However, just as Atleti appeared to be in the driving seat, La Real fought back through Imade, who was playing her final game for the club after being recalled by Bayern Munich. The Spain international netted twice in three minutes to give her team a narrow lead at the break.

The momentum swung in Atleti’s favour after the restart, with Júlia Bartel sweeping the ball in from a low corner. Amaiur Sarriegi then thumped home a half volley to give Atleti a 4-3 lead against her former club. As the game moved past the hour mark, Jensen scored her second of the game to leave the visitors with a mountain to climb.

They ultimately rose to the challenge, as Emma Ramírez pounced on a defensive error to reduce the deficit to one. Imade subsequently completed the scoring in the 79th minute, steering the ball in Arola Aparicio’s cross to complete her hat-trick and salvage a point. The forward returns to Bayern after netting 11 goals in 12 Liga F appearances this season.

Barcelona hit a dozen

Barcelona started the calendar year with a merciless display against Madrid CFF. The runaway leaders racked up seven first half goals on their way to a 12-1 success. Ewa Pajor scored four goals in the contest, including a first half hat-trick. There was also a first Liga F goal for 18-year-old Ainoa Gomez, as the Blaugrana moved onto 74 goals from 15 league matches.

Levante clinch first victory

Elsewhere, Levante boosted their survival hopes with their first league win of the season. Raiderlin Carrasco netted a seventh-minute opener away to relegation rivals DUX Logroño. The lengthy period of first half stoppage time produced three goals — the first of which came from Levante’s Ana Franco. Just moments later, Catalina Ongaro took full advantage of a goalkeeping error to pull a goal back, before Flavine Mawete powered a header home to level the game, finely poised at the break.

The contest appeared to be heading towards a draw until Érika González drove home an 86th-minute winner. The result moves Levante to within a point of Logroño and to within four points of safety.

Real Madrid start 2026 with a win

Real Madrid kicked off 2026 with a comfortable home victory against Sevilla. Caroline Weir created the opener, cleverly spinning away from her marker before slipping in Linda Caicedo to fire past Esther Sullastres. Weir then put her own name on the scoresheet to double Real Madrid’s advantage before the half-hour mark. Sullastres saved Filippa Angeldahl’s late penalty, but that proved to be a minor blip in a successful outing for Las Blancas, who celebrated a fourth consecutive clean sheet in Liga F

Granada, Eibar claim spoils

Like Real Madrid, Granada scored two goals without reply in their away meeting with Espanyol. Ariadna Mingueza broke the deadlock just after the hour mark, lashing a loose ball into the roof of the net. Sixteen-year-old Vera Molina then came off the bench in stoppage time to poke home her first Liga F goal, making it a day to remember for the Granada youngster.

Alhama remain just three points clear of safety after they fell to a seventh consecutive league defeat in Saturday’s home outing against Eibar. The contest was decided by a controversial 65th-minute penalty. Yannel looked to have won the ball with a last-ditch challenge on Carmen Álvarez, but the referee stuck with the original penalty decision following a visit to the pitch-side monitor. Álvarez stepped up to drive her spot-kick into the bottom corner, sealing her side’s fourth away win of the Liga F season.

Spoils shared in two matchday 15 fixtures

Elsewhere, Deportivo La Coruña’s Millene netted an early opener in Sunday’s home meeting with Costa Adeje Tenerife. However, the 28-year-old saw her third league goal of the season cancelled out by Claudia Blanco’s second half effort.

Meanwhile, Athletic Club and Badalona had to settle for a share of the spoils after they played out a goalless draw on Saturday.

Did you know?

Madrid CFF announced on Tuesday that they have relieved Javier Aguado of his head coach duties following the heavy 12-1 defeat to Barcelona. On the face of it, the decision seems harsh despite the weekend’s result, with the team sitting in seventh spot at the halfway stage of the season.

Best Liga F goal of matchday 15

Érika gets the nod this week after scoring a goal that could be a turning point in Levante’s survival bid. The attacker collected the ball on the edge of the box, shifted it out of her feet and produced a precise strike to beat the goalkeeper at the near post.
