AS Monaco have had quite a busy summer so far, notably bringing in Filipe Luis as their new head coach.

The Ligue 1 giants are looking to undergo some key changes to their squad heading into the new season. They have been particularly busy in the Barcelona circles.

Monaco, after all, are expected to sign Ansu Fati at a cheap valuation of €11 million. But that’s not all.

According to Gianluigi Longari, Barcelona are working on yet another Barcelona starlet in the form of Marc Casado.

The Ligue 1 outfit, in fact, have started talks with the Barcelona midfielder, who has lost his prominence under Hansi Flick and is expected to leave the club this summer.

Casado has indeed fallen behind the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi and even Marc Bernal in the pecking order.

A move away from Camp Nou, therefore, could make a world of sense as he looks to start a new adventure elsewhere.

What are the other options?

Monaco are the latest club to be linked with a move for Casado, who has no shortage of suitors across the globe.

Earlier reports have suggested that the Spaniard is a topic of conversation in Saudi Arabia, while a few other La Liga clubs would presumably be interested in acquiring his services.

At just 22, Casado boasts a lot of potential and a move to Monaco could be particularly interesting as he could have the opportunity to play in European competitions.

For now, though, Monaco have only started talks with Casado and it remains to be seen if they can convince the Barcelona midfielder this summer.
