Ligue 1 early verdicts, club by club: transfer hits and misses | OneFootball

With teams no more than five matches into the season, early transfer verdicts are emerging across Ligue 1. According to L'Équipe, several arrivals have impressed while others are still searching.

At Angers, 35-year-old goalkeeper Anthony Lopes, a free signing from Nantes, has already earned points, notably with a double save in the 0-0 at Le Havre on 12 September. Auxerre loanee Cameron Archer has three goals in three. Le Mans striker Louis Mafouta is on three goals and one assist.

Brest’s Gautier Lloris has slotted in reliably at centre-back. Lille forward Ayase Ueda has three in four and has already been preferred to Olivier Giroud. For PSG, Ferran Torres has seven in six, while Monaco’s Nazinho has impressed at full-back and scored at the Parc des Princes in the 2-1.

Lens list no standout, and Thorgan Hazard has only one start. PSG’s Mika Godts has barely featured after a €55 million move. Rennes forward Eliezer Mayenda has struggled, typified by a quiet first start in Lyon’s 0-4. Lyon’s Julien Duranville has not played due to injuries.
