Red cards can come quick and fast at times. And that's true during Sunday's clash between Rennes and Lens in France.
The visitors went down a man after less than a minute when defender Jonathan Gradit took out Seko Fofana, who was through on goal and therefore denied a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
The straight red card subsequently arrived after only 53 seconds.
According to Opta, this moment is one of four scenarios in which a player was sent off after less than a minute of play in Ligue 1 since the 21st century.
The other players were: Jean-Clair Todibo (9 seconds in 2022), Benjamin Lecomte (39 seconds 2015) and Maxime Spano (39 seconds 2014).
