African players are dominating the race for top honors in the 2025-2026 edition of Ligue 1.

According to stats provided by the specialized site “whoscored”, three players are setting the pace in this ranking thanks to their impressive performances with their respective clubs.

Algerian Ilan Kebbal stands out as the best player in the French league after just four rounds, boasting a rating of 7.76 for having netted three goals and delivered a single assist for his club, Paris FC.

Meanwhile, Moroccan Hamza Igamane, the new signing for LOSC, claims second spot in this ranking. With a 7.62 rating from “whoscored”, he pulled off the feat of scoring two goals in as many matches played.

For his part, Burkina Faso's Hervé Koffi has made quite an impression for Angers at the start of the season. That has allowed him to secure third place in the rankings with a rating of 7.58.
