A Ligue 1 panel is due to meet on Thursday to discuss the succession of Nicolas de Tavernost as managing director of LFP Media, the commercial arm of the Ligue de Football Professionnel. According to L'Équipe, the meeting will focus on the process to appoint his replacement.
The former M6 chief, 75, chose to leave after the 2026 World Cup rights he thought were secured for L1+ went to beIN.
The fallout has created fresh tensions with several club executives.
Clubs want a say in selecting his successor and do not want a choice imposed by CVC, which holds decision-making authority on the matter.
Governance reform is also expected to be discussed, notably the areas of disagreement with the French Football Federation, the FFF.
