After months of struggle, Mohamed Abdelmonem can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Egyptian international (33 caps, 3 goals) will soon be back in action.
OGC Nice has released a short video to announce Mohamed Abdelmonem's return to full-team training. The Pharaoh was warmly welcomed by his teammates.
The former Al-Ahly SC defender suffered a cruciate ligament rupture on April 25, 2025, during a Ligue 1 Matchday 31 clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Sidelined since then, the Zagazig native hasn't played a single match this season. He was also forced to withdraw from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.
The 26-year-old center-back is eager to regain match fitness quickly and earn a spot in Hossam Hassan's squad for the 2026 World Cup. Mohamed Salah's teammates will compete in Group G alongside Belgium, New Zealand, and Iran.
