Fenerbahçe will play Konyaspor on Saturday after failing to secure a league postponement, mirroring OL, who travel to Toulouse.
According to Le Progres, Fenerbahçe’s bid to move last Saturday’s match at Gençlerbirliği, three days before hosting OL in the play-off first leg, was rejected by the federation.
Director of football Oguz Cetin said the club did not pursue a fresh request to shift this Saturday’s Konyaspor game following that refusal.
Head coach Ismail Kartal had said a request was nonetheless sent to the federation to postpone the Konyaspor fixture. He noted the squad are in good physical shape but playing two matches a week is more demanding and they did not want to risk injuries.
There will be no postponements for either OL or Fenerbahçe, leaving both on the same footing before next Wednesday’s play-off return.
