I can now put out a likely starting Chelsea Xl to face Qarabag tonight in their latest Champions League match.

The Blues have made the long journey to Azerbaijan yesterday afternoon, and the travelling squad has now been revealed in full.

EXCLUSIVE! When Cole Palmer is expected to return to the Chelsea squad – plans laid out!

Full squad that went

Chelsea travelling squad for Qarabag:

▪︎ GK’s: Filip Jorgensen, Max Merrick, Robert Sanchez

▪︎ Defenders: Josh Acheampong, Tosin Adarabioyo, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Malo Gusto, Jorrel Hato, Reece James

▪︎ Midfielders: Facundo Buonanotte, Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo, Andrey Santos

▪︎ Forwards: Liam Delap, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrique George, Jamie Gittens, Marc Guiu, Joao Pedro, Estevao Willian.

It’s a very strong squad for Chelsea but I don’t think that Enzo Maresca will field his very strongest starting Xl against these minnows.

Of course, no game is going to be easy in this stage of the Champions League, but even Chelsea’s ‘second string’ side will have more than enough to avoid this potential banana skin game.

Predicted starting Xl

This is what I think we will see tonight:

Robert Sanchez; Malo Gusto, Josh Acheampong, Tosin Adarabioyo, Jorrel Hato; Romeo Lavia, Andrey Santos, Facundo Buonanotte; Estevao Willian, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap.

Only one Chelsea player made the Who Scored Team of the Week for the Premier League this week and it’s not Moises Caicedo, who is the one you’d have fully expected to see in there. It was actually Joao Pedro!

ESPN put out there predicted end of season Premier League table based off a number of elements that they have carefully worked out. It’s quite the deep dive effort by them, and they have Chelsea finishing in fourth spot!
