The top Serie A sides are keeping tabs on a few Lille players, and Edon Zhegrova belongs in the bunch. He dished a great assist for Jonathan David in the recent Champions League tilt versus Juventus. He’s been occasionally linked to a few Serie A sides in the recent past. He’s potentially keen on the transfer, as he told Gianlucadimarzio.com.
“Juan Cabal is a nice player, but I felt comfortable against him. I like Italian football and routinely follow their big teams like Milan and Juventus. Many in Kosovo cheer for them and Inter.”
Zhegrova was quizzed whether a switch to Serie A could be in the cards for him.
“Why not? I like the Rossoneri a lot.”
The winger examined the tilt against the Old Lady.
“I think Lille really played a great game. That was key for us. Then, I always want to help my team, either scoring or assisting. Juventus are a top club with great players. We saw directly how strong they are. I think a draw was the right result considering their quality.”
Les Dogues were forced to sit back more than in previous games. They had beaten Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid earlier in the group stage.
“It depends on how the tilt goes. When the opponents dominate the ball possession, you have to stay compact and defend well. You can’t do much about it.”
Zhegrova is off to a fast start, as he has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 16 matches. He shined in particular in the Champions League playoffs. He was attached primarily to Roma last summer during Paulo Dybala’s transfer saga.
