Mohamed Bayo (27) is inching closer to a temporary move to Saudi Arabia next season.
Lille OSC and Al-Fayha FC reached a preliminary agreement for the French-born player to move to the Saudi Pro League on loan, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
In 2024-25, he featured in 12 Ligue 1 games for Lille, finding the back of the net on two occasions. The 27-year-old initially joined Les Nordistes in July 2023 on a five-year deal, though he’s spent a reasonable amount of time on loan at other clubs since his arrival. During the 2023-24 campaign, he scored five times in Ligue 1 while on loan at Le Havre AC in 23 appearances.
He also played four seasons for his hometown club Clermont Foot, scoring 14 times in 32 Ligue 1 appearances with them in the 2021-22 season, while he previously featured with Dunkerque as well.
Internationally, he’s made 30 appearances for Guinea, scoring eight goals and was one of the 25 players named to the squad which competed at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
