Lille fans banned as security tightened for OM v Lille at the Vélodrome

OM v Lille at the Vélodrome on Sunday will take place under tight security amid the second round of municipal elections, with no away support permitted.

The match will receive particular attention from the authorities. The Bouches-du-Rhône prefecture announced that a public security operation will be in place.

The plan includes mobile units, local DIPN personnel and soldiers attached to the Sentinelle mission.

As planned, Lille supporters are barred from travelling to the stadium, with a prefectoral order and a ministerial order issued.

Kick-off is at 17:15, with the date retained despite Lille’s requests for a postponement on safety grounds linked to the elections.
