Lille make approach to sign Watford’s Othmane Maamma as they target attacking reinforcements

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Lille have made an initial approach to sign Othmane Maamma (20) before the end of the transfer window. Les Dogues want to sign a winger in the winter window and have identified the Moroccan youth international attacker as a potential target.  

The 20-year-old has impressed in the modest number of minutes he has played for the Hornets in the EFL Championship this season. Maamma has made 16 appearances for Watford in the English second division, scoring 3 goals and registering a solitary assist.

Watford’s Maamma is not Lille’s only target

As reported by L’Équipe and confirmed by Foot Mercato, the French club are also interested in signing Jessrun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace. It remains to be seen which forward the Ligue 1 club will sign before the end of the window.
