Lille predicted XI v Angers: Jonathan David starts, Edon Zhegrova suspended | OneFootball

Ligue 1 has rolled into its second game week but for Lille OSC and Bruno Génésio hosting Angers SCO will be their fifth game of the season. The club find themselves on the edge of qualifying for the Champions League after defeating Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe and leading Slavia Prague 2-0 in the first leg of the playoff.

Génésio will be without Angel Gomes after he was stretchered off in last weekend’s game against Stade de Reims. The English midfielder was taken to hospital after he suffered a nasty blow to the head. The manager will also be unable to call upon Edon Zhegrova who is suspended for this weekend’s tie.

It’s somewhat surprising to see Jonathan David back in the lineup despite playing 90 minutes on Tuesday evening. The Canadian forward will lead the line as Génésio once again goes with a 3-4-3 formation.
