Lille stay top as Santos strikes and Mbappé seals it late | OneFootball

LOSC beat Troyes 2-0 at Stade Pierre-Mauroy to stay top of Ligue 1, with Tiago Santos and Ethan Mbappé scoring either side of the break.

An early scare was cleared when Hakon Arnar Haraldsson's finish was ruled out for offside in the third minute after a VAR check.

Santos then put Lille ahead with a crisp right-footer into the top left from the right side of the box (18.), teed up by Dilane Bakwa.

Patrick Beach kept Troyes alive with stops either side of half time, denying Ayase Ueda before the interval and pushing away late efforts as Lille pressed for a second.

After Davide Ancelotti turned to his bench, substitutes Maurits Kjaergaard and Mbappé combined for the clincher, the latter slotting home from the centre of the area in the third minute of second half stoppage time.

Lille controlled the ball with 63.3% possession and produced six shots on target from 13 attempts. Troyes managed one shot on target from eight attempts.

Lille remain unbeaten after four matches. Next, Lille visit Nice in Ligue 1. Troyes travel to Angers next.
