Inter Miami have confirmed that their star man, Lionel Messi, has extended his contract with the club.
He originally joined the MLS side in July 2023 as a free agent following a spell with Paris Saint-Germain.

Since then, he has scored 71 goals and provided 37 assists in 82 appearances across all competitions.
The 38-year-old will remain with Inter Miami until 2027, although the deal includes an option for a further year.
Messi has been nominated for the 2025 MLS MVP award, and should he claim it, he would become the first player to win the prize in consecutive seasons.
Inter Miami are now preparing for their first match of the Round One playoff series against Nashville SC this Friday at Chase Stadium.
