Lionel Messi responds to Barcelona’s La Liga triumph | OneFootball

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has taken to social media on Sunday evening, to send a message to his beloved Blaugrana.

This of course comes fresh off Hansi Flick’s troops officially securing their latest La Liga title.

Barca marked their return to action a short time ago, playing host to arch rivals Real Madrid in the knowledge that a solitary point would see their status as Spanish champions for the 2nd successive year confirmed.

From here, the hosts went on to secure all three points, courtesy of goals on the part of Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres.

Messages of congratulations have in turn come pouring in for the Catalans, from across the world of football.

And as alluded to above, amongst the very first to reach out to Barcelona was none other than Lionel Messi.

Taking to his official Instagram account, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner unveiled a post reading:

‘Campeones!!! Visca el Barca!!! (Long live Barca)’
