That result sees Sarina Wiegman's team move ahead of Germany and up to third in the rankings. Spain remain top of the standings while the USA stay in second place.

This was also the first ranking since the Asian Cup which means that Japan have moved up three places into fifth place with defeated finalists Australia remaining in 15th.

Elsewhere, the Republic of Ireland moved up four places to 23rd while Scotland jumped up two places up to 24th. Wales also moved up one place to 31st although Northern Ireland dropped two spots down to 46th.
