Lisa Baum has left RBL's women's side to join Arsenal. The 19-year-old arrived in Leipzig from Hamburger SV in summer 2025, having helped them win promotion to the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga.
Lisa made an immediate impact in Leipzig. She featured in 25 of the club’s 26 Bundesliga matches, starting 23 of them, and registered six goals and three assists. The left-footed youngster was particularly impressive after the winter break, contributing five goals and three assists during the second half of the season.
Baum's departure had already been announced when the team returned for pre-season, and her next destination has now been confirmed. The six-time Germany U23 international's new side, who play in the English Women’s Super League, reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League last season.

"The fact that Lisa is already in a position to take this next step shows just how far she has come during her short time here. This transfer is a good outcome for everyone involved in many respects. We are proud to have played a part in Lisa’s journey and wish her every success at Arsenal, both on and off the pitch," said Viola Odebrecht, head of women’s and girls’ football at RB Leipzig.
Head coach Jonas Stephan also believes the 19-year-old has a hugely promising career ahead of her: "If she continues on this path, Lisa will become a world-class player and one of the very best in her position."

Lisa also looks back fondly on her time with RBL: "I’m extremely grateful for my year in Leipzig. The club gave me the perfect environment to develop quickly and keep improving every day. I always believed in myself and felt that I had the full backing of the coaching staff. I’m now looking forward to taking on the next challenge and giving it everything I’ve got."
