Liverpool and Arsenal are monitoring Kevin Schade's situation at Brentford as the Bees look to agree a new contract with the forward.

Schade has started thePremier League season in fine form with three goals in five appearances to earn inclusion in the Germany squad for the Nations League fixtures this break.

The 24-year-old started Jurgen Klopp's first game in charge of Germany on Thursday evening, a 1-1 draw with the Netherlands.

Brentford are aware of growing interest in Schade and are working to extend a deal that expires in 2028.

The West Londoners want to reward Schade with improved terms and secure his future, withSky Sports reporting that Arsenal and Liverpool are keeping tabs on the situation.

Arsenal remain on the hunt for a left-sided forward after failed moves for Vinicius Junior and Morgan Rogers during the summer window.

Liverpool added Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz to their options in the summer, but remain open to another forward signing. The Reds enquired about Ismaila Sarr and Yankuba Minteh late in the transfer window, as Cody Gakpo was linked with an exit. Gakpo remained at Anfield and has started the season positively.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also expressed interest in Schade, who has 19 goals and five assists across the last two fullPremier League campaigns.

Brentford signed Schade from Freiburg for a fee of around £20m in 2023 and would expect to make a significant profit on any sale.

The Bees have seen several forwards depart for big fees in recent transfer windows, with Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa all leaving the Gtech Community Stadium for combined fees in excess of £160m.

Brentford are hoping Schade follows the example of Igor Thiago, who re-signed on improved terms last season despite transfer interest.
