Liverpool and Bayern Munich join the race to sign Marseille target Malick Fofana | OneFootball

According to a report from RMC Sport, Marseille are set to face competition in their pursuit of Lyon attacker Malick Fofana (20). Liverpool and Bayern Munich, plus another unnamed European club, are also interested in signing the Belgian international winger.

Due to financial difficulties and after narrowly avoiding administrative relegation to Ligue 2, OL are forced to sell players to balance the books this summer. This has generated serious interest in Fofana’s services, after the 20-year-old impressed with 11 goals and 5 assists in all competitions last term.

As reported by Foot Mercato, the former Gent attacker is a player on the radar of OM. However, with the interest of Europe’s biggest clubs and the rivalry that exists between Marseille and Les Gones, a deal is unlikely to go through. The Premier League champions could look to recruit Fofana as a replacement for Luis Diaz, who is also attracting interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
