Liverpool Are Keen On Recruiting This Bournemouth Winger: Should Iraola Go For Him? | OneFootball

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Liverpool are keen on recruiting Bournemouth winger Rayan. O’Rourke said,

“There’s obvious links between Rayan and the Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola.

“Iraola was at Bournemouth when they signed him, and obviously he made a massive impact there, he got seven goal contributions in 15 games which is pretty good going.

“Obviously, links with Liverpool are pretty easy to come up with in that respect because of who the manager is.

“Iraola is a big fan of his, having worked with him before, so of course it is a possibility and Liverpool will be keeping a close eye on his performances for Bournemouth this season.

“That release clause would probably be a bit expensive for Liverpool, but I’m sure he is a player that’s on their list because of the obvious links between the manager and the player as well.”

Rayan’s Impressive Form In English Football

Rayan enjoyed a good run of form at the English club after he put in a run of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 20-year-old banged in seven goals and earned a couple of assists in 16 appearances for the Cherries last season across all competitions.

The Brazilian talent is currently among the most gifted wide players in the Premier League. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are keen on bringing him to Anfield in 2027.

His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on the cheap next year.

Should Liverpool Boss Andoni Iraola Go For Rayan?

Rayan is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some dangerous runs with it out in the wide areas. He has the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.

The Brazilian sensation can strike the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. Rayan is primarily a right-winger but can also serve as a left-sided wide player or as a striker if needed.

We can expect Rayan to add more firepower to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola’s attack in the long run. He is already good enough to challenge for regular first-team spot at Anfield.

At 20, the future looks quite promising for Rayan as long as he continues to improve with each season. Hence, Iraola would be wise to go for someone with his potential next year.
