Arne Slot has issued injury updates on Florian Wirtz and Ibrahima Konate after the pair were forced off during Liverpool’s win over Arsenal.
The reigning Premier League champions eked out a narrow victory against last season's runners-up thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai’s late free kick.
The result leaves Liverpool top of the Premier League, with a 100 per cent winning record after three games, but with a few fitness doubts.
Jeremie Frimpong remains out for “two or three weeks”, and Slot watched as Wirtz and Konate asked to be substituted.
Pressed for an update on Konate after the game, Slot said the defender thought he had cramp but the manager will wait for scans.
The Liverpool boss of Konate: “He thinks it's cramp, and I have no reason to doubt him. Though some players think it's cramp, and then scans show it's more than that.
“So let's wait and see.”
Slot was more upbeat on Wirtz, insisting: “It wasn't an injury, it was a 'welcome to the Premier League'”.
He added: “After 85 minutes, I don't think he knew he could have cramp in so many different places, so that's what happened.”
