Arne Slot admits he is worried about the injury suffered by striker Alexander Isak in the win over Spurs.
Isak put the Reds ahead in their 2-1 win over Spurs, before Hugo Ekitike added another.
But Isak was injured when he was tackled by Micky van de Ven after he had fired into the back of the net.
The Reds also lost defender Conor Bradley to injury and asked about the duo, the Liverpool boss said: “I don’t have any news on him (Isak) but if a player scores and then gets injured, doesn’t come back on the pitch and doesn’t try to come back on the pitch, like Conor Bradley for example did but I had to take him off as well because he couldn’t go on, then it’s usually not a good thing,” Slot said.
“But I cannot say anything more than that.
“I haven’t spoken to Alex about it yet.
“It’s a good thing that he scored! A good goal. Assisted by Florian Wirtz. I said last week that the players are getting better, the team is getting better.
“Again, it wasn’t perfect today, especially not in the last ten minutes, but in the meantime we pick up points and I’m seeing the team developing in the way I would like.
“We’re definitely not perfect yet but, but we knew this when we made so many changes in the summer that it would take time.
“Maybe because we won the first five or six games everybody thought this would go so easily but as a club, ownership, we knew that change could mean different (up and down) results. I think that has shown to be true.”
Spurs had Xavi Simons sent off in the first half before his team-mate Cristian Romero also saw red in the second.
But Liverpool still faced a nervy ending to the game after Richarlison had pulled one back to make it 2-1.
“To be honest, I thought, against nine, we would probably be able to keep them away from our goal but it looked as if we were down to nine and they had 11 because it was attack after attack after attack,” Slot admitted.
