Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is full of admiration for tonight's Champions League opponents FC Midtjylland.
Klopp admits he wanted to visit the Danes during his break from football five years ago.
He recalled: "After yesterday, I know a lot about them. Before that, I knew about them and their history, where they use science in different ways and work very specifically.
"It is a very interesting project, I must say.
"When I took a break, I was interested in going to Midtjylland and Brentford just to see what it is they do exactly. But then I signed with Liverpool and so it could not be done. But it shows that they were interesting already five years ago.
"I've seen a lot of matches since yesterday, so I'm in the picture around FCM now. They are good, really good, and the 0-4 match against Atalanta was not a 0-4 match."
On Danish football, Klopp continued: "I have had two players with Leon Andreasen and Bo Svensson, and then I have had Mohamed Zidan. Is he Danish? The three are very different.
"Bo has since become a promising coach, Mohamed has become a businessman and I do not know what Leon does, but he probably lives in Germany. They are fantastic characters, and they work hard, and if they are role models in Denmark, congratulations to you.
"I have only good impressions of them and I like the country and have always done so. Even when I was a child, when I was on holiday there. I have only good memories from there."
